"The Spoiled Child" 1765 I haven't decided yet if it is the child who is being spoiled in this painting or the dog.
"The Inconsolable Widow" Before 1763. Anyone who owns a Cavalier will think this painting is silly. Cavaliers are not called "the comforters" for nothing. Here she is pining her heart away while her poor dog sits looking forlorn and neglected. Go figure.
